To celebrate what would have been his late father’s 91st birthday, Lou Cross III of Lure Cigars has created a new limited edition cigar called The Last Cast.
It’s the latest fishing-themed cigar from Lure. This time, the name references the very last cast of a day or night of fishing. As for the cigar, it’s a 6 x 52 toro that uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper over a binder from Ometepe, Nicaragua and fillers from three regions of Nicaragua: Condega, Estelí and Ometepe. The cigar is made at Tabacalera Pages in Nicaragua. The company describes this release cigar as full-bodied.
Each cigar has an MSRP of $15 and production is limited to just 120 bundles of 10 cigars.
It will debut on Saturday, June 1—Cross Jr.’s birthday—at Jerry’s Cigar Shop in Tallahassee, Fla., the home shop of Cross Jr.
